I chanced upon KeyPro, an application that promises wireless keyboard functionality. However, its still on beta mode and the number of testers is limited. Lets wait and see. That is the only application I am waiting and hoping for right now.

A Regular Keyboard for an Android Phone In the Works?
There have been a lot of recent rom updates for the rooted T Mobile G1 Android phone. My phone uses the CyanogenMod and the latest version is 4.2.5. One value of a rooted phone is that applications are stored in the sd card and this saves on the built-in internal memory. A rooted phone simply enhances functionality. One development I am eagerly looking forward to is the possibility of wirelessly hooking up a bluetooth keyboard to the Android phone. Mine is the Stowaway Ultraslim bluetooth keyboard. I had just recently bought a document creating application and a regular sized keyboard will make creating documents easier.

ces, I've applied for the beta program but haven't heard back yet,so as of now I have no software to test. But, like you I'm keen to try it out and will post my results on the MyMobileGear forum.
ReplyDeleteces, I have now learned that the Ultraslim isn't supported by the KeyPro driver, at least not for now. It's now SPP-compatible, whatever that means. The Stowaway Shasta keyboard is however supported.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try another method that supposedly works for the Apple wireless keyboard (which I also own) and I'll try the Ultraslim with it as well.
