Magnetic Macro Lens
There's a slew of pocketable camcorders out there. After a few months or so, expect manufacturers to churn out new models with new features. Unless you have a deep pocket with wads of cash, its difficult to be top-of-the-line. But there is a workaround to pimping your cam, as I've discovered.
Consider new models boasting of shooting macro. With this feature, you can take clear close-up shots. My camcorder doesn't have this. After some searching, I came upon these magnetic macro lens. You just attach it to your lens and you're good to go. It's cheap: 13 dollars with free shipping. It works fine as you will see in the following video.

Whats In My Gadget Bag?
With quite a number of gadgets, it becomes invariably necessary to stash them in an orderly fashion. I got myself an Amigo camera bag as a gadget bag. It has a wide interior with velcro adjustable dividers. It has an extra pocket and two wide side pockets too. Have a look:

How To Shutdown 3G Connectivity On the Android Phone
The T Mobile G1 is a great phone. Among others, it can seamlessly connect to the web and sync data. The problem with this, however, is that 3G connection is always on and when you have a prepaid data plan or load, it gets eaten up quickly. This is why I could not use my G1 full time until I discovered this wonderful app on the Android Market: APNdroid. What it does is simply to turn on or turn off 3G connectivity. With 3G off, you can still make and receive calls and create and receive text messages. Basic uses for the phone, right?
